Many of the molds now being offered for slumping glass and kiln casting glass are actually just ceramic bisqueware that was originally designed to be painted with ceramic glaze and fired as finished ceramic. Some can be used for glass work but most are completely unsuitable.

In response to multiple requests by both hobbyists and working artisans, Victorian Art Glass is working in partnership with Master Artisan Products to manufacture a variety of molds that are specifically designed for slumping and casting glass. In addition to a catalog of stock designs, we will also offer to make custom design molds for both slumping and open-face kiln casting. Multi-piece molds for fully 3D kiln casting will be available in spring 2010.

If you have something you'd like to see made available for slumping or casting, contact us.
